Direct & Indirect Messages



The direct message in this ad is that drinking and driving is very dangerous and can cost your life. The dangers of drunk driving go way beyond imagination. People like to have a good time but they don't realize the consequence of being intoxicated and when they leave the bar or club they get in their car and put themselves and anyone else in the car in danger. The indirect message would be that you have to responsible when you drink and if you are by yourself then you need to ease of the alcohol. There is also another thing you can do you can bring friends and one of you have to be a designated driver so nobody gets hurt. When the ad says "It's like killing yourself" it is saying that when you get in your car drunk it is like putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger.
